Paul, what do you mean by "FX reinstall"? FSX? Did you check prior to installing Vancouver+? Standing by for more info ...

OK Jon,
Sorry for the delay but it was a busy weekend
I ran the repair tool on VIC+ as suggested and also VAN+. again, and I could be very wrong, I don't get the feeling they are doing what they are supposed to do because it all goes so fast
And I took some pictures also. You know the area so no need to comment on location. Also included the current terrain.cfg
(I REMOVED THE PICTURES FOR FASTER POST LOADING SINCE THEY ARE IRRELEVANT)
As I said before, When VAN+ is disabled from Scenery library, everything looks good.
Good luck and thanks for your help.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the pics. Per my previous note, what I need is a single satellite view (looking straight down) shot, zoomed back so I can get an overview of the whole area.
Can you confirm that your terrain.cfg is identical to what you sent before? Please send again.
And I understand that you are saying that without the Van+ entries enabled, you get the land where there should be water and if you re-enable them you see the problem. Do you have Vic+ installed? what is installed at this point?
I suggest you don't make any changes though at this point until I fully understand where you're at ... thanks for your patience.
Jon

OK Jon,
1- Terrain.cfg is the one since my FSX reinstall one week ago
2- In the Vancouver area I have installed: VIC+, VAN+, UTX CAN/AK, UTX USA, CYVR for FSX, CYYJ 2007, BC seaplane bases.
3- I have a whole bunch of scenery installed elsewhere in the world
4- WHEN VAN+ is disabled from scenery library: Everything looks fine and is at its place. When enabled: See pictures above
5- I will not make any changes until we resolve that.
Paul.

Thanks, Paul. Try the attached. Be sure to rename to terrain.cfg. IT'S NOT REALLY A RAR, JUST RENAME.

OK, try the following. After each step check the area completely.
- uninstall Victoria+ (if you have it installed)
- uninstall Vancouver+
- reinstall Vancouver+
... BTW my computer has been in the shop, so my response time is somewhat delayed ...

Ok, Paul thanks for that, can you send along terrain.cfg again? This is from your FSX program folder, correct?
Jon

Hi Paul,
You never know what could cause the problem! My computer (after a week!) is finally back from the shop, so I can focus more on this issue. I'll be in touch.
Thanks for your patience...
Jon

Hi Paul,
Here's another version. I note that your base terrain.cfg is not the FSX default, but the Ludowise-Feliz-Tirado version. That should be fine, as long as you don't overwrite the default again with that version.
Fortunately, i've got bits of my computer running, included WinRAR, so this is archived properly!
If this doesn't work, verify 100% that nothing is overwriting it, by opening it again after running FSX.
Good luck!
Jon
